Welcome 2021

Welcome 2021

Happy 2021 Quotes.jpg

I can’t believe we are already halfway through the first month of 2021. Anyone else out there who still has their Christmas tree up? All other holiday decorations have been stored away, but I’m finding some comfort in having a Christmas tree still lighting our home. I hope you and yours had a wonderful holiday season. Only 345 more days till Christmas!!

The landscape of 2021 is still unkown, but I am optimistic we will continue to slowly get back to a new normal with vaccines rolling out and people getting back to work. I’m excited about getting back into my studio to create new artwork. My mind is filled with flowers and floral inspired art at the moment. Don’t be suprised if you start seeing some coming out soon.

Spring Anticipation

Spring Anticipation

Spring Anticipation is a painting I started several months ago and just finished last week. It has a beautiful Spring like feel to it. It would compliment many decor situations, including a nursery or child’s room. And, it would make a fabulous one of a kind Valentine’s Day gift. If you’d like more information on this artwork, simply click on the images above.

Spring Has Arrived

Spring Has Arrived

It looks like Punxsutawney Phil was correct this year and Spring has arrived early, at least here in Florida. Flowers and trees are blooming and my heart has turned to a lighter color palette. While I haven’t fully embraced green, it has started to make small appearances in my new art. Here are some new works in progress using a Spring like palette.

Oil and cold wax - work in progress

A happy accident resulted in my discovering a fabulous shade of turquoise blue. The kind that reminds me so much of my turquoise jewelry with its beautiful matrix marks. The matrix is formed by the thin veins of the host stone. These veins interweave throughout the stone, creating a unique pattern which contrasts with the blues, greens, earthy browns, rust, and black coloration. The first few paintings done with this new palette have sold, but I’ll be creating more very soon.

This sweet mini 6 x 6 inches painting was created using the new turquoise blues. I’ll be adding more of these sweet minis and larger pieces to my website soon.

I’ll be heading back to Santa Fe, New Mexico at the beginning of May for my annual summer stay. I’m looking forward to seeing that brilliant blue sky, adobe architecture and all the fabulous art galleries. I’m very honored to be represented in Santa Fe by Hat Ranch Gallery and Turquoise Butterfly Gallery. Each year brings new inspiration and new direction in my work.

You can always find my available artwork on my online gallery. Don’t forget that I offer complimentary US shipping and flexible payment plans. Nothing says Spring like the sight of tulips in your local flower shop, grocery store or if you're lucky enough ....in your own garden. Here in west central Florida it is too hot to grow these beauties, so I must paint them.

If you are a tulip lover you might want to check out the home decor items available with my Tulipe artwork.  All available through my Fine Art America shop.  Just click the photo below to see all the products available with this artwork.

I hope you're inspired to bring home some tulips this weekend. They are sure to brighten up your home.  Have a great weekend!

Blessings my friends, your artist Mary

Flowers don’t worry about how they’re going to bloom. They just open up and turn toward the light and that makes them beautiful.
