You Gotta Have Faith

You Gotta Have Faith

I posted this image of my original painting titled “Faith” on Facebook this past Good Friday and received so many responses and questions about whether reproductions were available. The original painting is in my personal collection (my husband would not allow me to sell it), but you can enjoy it in beautiful canvas reproductions or giclee prints.

Ordering is easy! Simply click the image below and you’ll be taken to my Fine Art America shop where you can select the perfect type of print and size for your home.

Welcome Spring!

Welcome Spring!!

Spring has finally appeared on the calendar, just not necessarily in your neck of the woods friends. Here in sunny Florida we’re enjoying a beautiful start to the season and art shows and exhibits are in full swing. My show at the Highlands Museum of the Arts in Sebring, FL is winding down to a close on March 29. I don’t have another show planned till November this year which leaves lots of time to create new work.

I’ve been painting away on smaller works the past couple months using an oil and cold wax method and really loving the results. These paintings are created by applying many layers oil paint mixed with a cold wax medium (made with bees wax) and then removing some of the layers to reveal the underlying paint layers. It’s kind of like excavating a painting to find its history.

Here are just a few of the new paintings created with this method.

There is a certain luminosity with the oil paints that I don’t find with acrylics. Acrylics are still my go to for painting, but it’s great to have a second set of tools in my tool box.

If you’d like more information on these paintings, or any of my others, I invite you to visit my website. And, don’t forget I offer complimentary US shipping and convenient payment plans can be set up anytime. I love to make it easy for my art to find their forever homes.

I am so excited to share my solo exhibit at the Highlands Museum of the Arts in beautiful, downtown Sebring, Florida. There are 41 pieces of art displayed in the museum’s three galleries. The opening reception on February 8 was amazing and you still have a chance to view the exhibit through March 28.

New Artwork Available

I’m so excited to announce new artwork available in my online gallery. And, I’m especially excited as these new artworks are created with a new medium for me - oil paint and cold wax. I am just in love with this process and the results they produce.
