This painting was inspired by the painted skies at sunset during my trip to Santa Fe, NM. NM sunsets never disappoint. First you're thrilled by the the brilliant colors as the sun disappears behind the mountains. Then, as night falls, you see more stars than your eyes can count. Truly magical.

The sides are painted in a rich, shimmery gray/black micaceous iron oxide so framing is not necessary.
