Gratitude, Grace & Giving

Gratitude, Grace & Giving

thanksgivingquote.jpg

Dear friends,

I have started my gratitude list for Thanksgiving week, something I do every year to reflect on the blessings of the year. And, I want you to know I count you among my many blessings. I am thankful for your kindness. I am thankful for the sharing of my art with friends and family. I am thankful for my collectors whose purchases allow me to continue painting. I am thankful for your daily company on social media. I would not be where I am today without God’s grace and your support.

May this Thanksgiving week find you counting the many blessings of this season of love, giving and sharing.

If you’ll be doing a little “giving” this holiday season, might I recommend a visit to my website, Fine Art Amercia shop or my VIDA fashion shop? I’m sure you’ll find that something special for yourself or someone on your gift list. From artwork to wearable art and home decor, I have you covered.

Do You Love Fashion?

Do You Love Fashion?

I have always loved fashion, but not in the way you might think. I've never been one for the latest fashion trends as trends are just that, they all go away ultimately.  One of the things I enjoyed most about leaving the corporate world after 30 years was the ability to finally dress like I really wanted. Simple but stylish, easy and comfortable style. No more suits and heels for this girl. It was so liberating and was a better fit for my personal style.

I am so excited to create a fashion line for VIDA. Their fashion line consists of clothing I actually enjoy wearing. And, even if you still have to wear a suit to the office, one of my tops under a jacket works beautifully.

If you haven't seen my fashion line, I invite you to visit now as everything is 25% off with FREE SHIPPING till 8/31/17. Don't miss out on the savings my friends. Just click the photo below to visit my shop. Enter code:sunshine25 at check out to take advantage of the savings!!

I am very proud of my fashion line with VIDA. All products are produced upon order and designed and custom printed from my original artwork. You'll find tops, scarves, wraps, leather bags, jewelry and more. Choose your favorite artwork and then find it in my fashion line. This is truly wearable art.

Thank you so much for being one of my art collectors or fans of my art. I hope you will enjoy my wearable art line just as much. I'd love to know what you think about my VIDA designs. And, please feel free to share this with your art loving friends.

Wishing everyone a wonderful upcoming Labor Day holiday. I hope you'll enjoy this time with family and friends.  Your artist friend, Mary

Creating The Traveler

Creating The Traveler

In case you missed my previous blog in May answering the question "how do I know if a painting is finished', I'm going to follow up that question as it seems like the most asked question I get these days. I love sharing my art, my thought process and of course what's on my easel.  Here's a super short video I created for one of my new paintings - The Traveler.

Bringing an image in my mind to canvas is not an easy thing to describe. My painting style is intuitive, usually with no references other than emotions or images in my head. By adding and subtracting layer upon layer of paint I come to a point where the painting is finished. How do I know? The painting tells me.

If you've been following me on Facebook you probably know I have recently started designing a fashion line with my art for VIDA. I am so excited about this new venture and I hope you will check out my VIDA shop. I am in the running to have my designs showcased on HSN!! I've got my fingers crossed and will keep you posted. Simply click the photo below to visit my shop.
