I have started my gratitude list for Thanksgiving week, something I do every year to reflect on the blessings of the year. And, I want you to know I count you among my many blessings. I am thankful for your kindness. I am thankful for the sharing of my art with friends and family. I am thankful for my collectors whose purchases allow me to continue painting. I am thankful for your daily company on social media. I would not be where I am today without God’s grace and your support.

I have always loved fashion, but not in the way you might think. I've never been one for the latest fashion trends as trends are just that, they all go away ultimately.  One of the things I enjoyed most about leaving the corporate world after 30 years was the ability to finally dress like I really wanted. Creating The Traveler

In case you missed my previous blog in May answering the question "how do I know if a painting is finished', I'm going to follow up that question as it seems like the most asked question I get these days. I love sharing my art, my thought process and of course what's on my easel.  Here's a super short video I created for one of my new paintings - The Traveler. 

Bringing an image in my mind to canvas is not an easy thing to describe. My painting style is intuitive, usually with no references other than emotions or images in my head. By adding and subtracting layer upon layer of paint I come to a point where the painting is finished. How do I know? The painting tells me.
